I really don't have too much to say today. Just that I'm thankful to all the models that always show me love and support. Someway we have all become a family. To all my butterflies, old and new, I would like to say you mean a great deal to me. What seperates this company from so many is the sense of family. Hey, my clients are family, my models are family, my fellow designers are family. See we are all in the same game. I think every good woman needs a good seamstress, or tailor. It's one of those skills that you just don't see a lot of anymore. In this world of mass manufacturing and imported goods, you just don't see too many folks that really know how to sew. The folks you can go to in a hurry, and the folks that look out for your best interest. What every happened to all those grandmas that sewed. Unfortunately, I alot of them passed on and didn't get a chance to pass down their skills. I challenge all the seamstresses and tailors out there with children or young family members. Teach them to sew. My mom taught me how to hand sew, but I'm grateful that she took the time to pass on that skill to me. It made me be the person I am today. You never know how much you influence another's life. Too many of our young black youth do not have any focus. We need the creativity back in our community.
Just a thought.
Peace---The Black Butterfly
